RF Limiter / receiver protectors work. Build or buy,
cheap protection. ICE makes them. I have been using
two of theirs and my receivers still work. Run
diversity rx using FT-1000D and now with Orion II. ICE
is at  (

). There are others. Just don't run your pair of
8877's into them by mistake.
