I'm with you.  All of Icom's powerful signal processors have not 
resulted in a receiver which can match the Orion.  I'm working 160m and 
80m DX I'd have never worked with my Omni VI Option 3, which I'd 
considered an excellent transceiver.  The JA manufacturers build rigs 
with an enormous amount of sizzle, but the meat is often tough.
