Thanks for the references to the nice write-ups on setting the master 
oscillator in the Orion.  My Orion was off a good bit for my taste.

I have one thing to add to the whole procedure to make it a bit easier. 
I set the spot/sidetone to the WWV tone for zero beat (Its either 600 or 
500Hz depending on the minute...) and used that to match the tone when I 
went over to LSB or USB.   Once I had the tone zero beat on one mode, I 
switched to the other sideband mode to doublecheck.  Using the Spot to 
adjust with was easier than trying to switch back and forth between USB 
and LSB several times to match the tones.

BTW, the Sidetone frequency can be set easily by holding in the Spot 
button and turning the Multi control.  No need to navigate to the CW 
menu to set it.
