Barry, the 6n2 is a very GOOD basic all mode. It's tiny size may be a bit off 
putting, but it has just about supplanted the FT736R, and the IC 271, 274 and 
810 Icom's that are gathering dust in my shack.  It is a very quiet rig, but it 
can pull out weak ones the other ones don't and if I need more power the brick 
comes alive when I push the switch.
