Congratulations to Ten Tec for a great transceiver in the Orion. Reading
the Bavarian Contest Club experience in European operations where RF is
worst case environment; due to narrow 40m band and BC stations; is a great
test of the radio, and the other import and the kit radio also tested.

This should answer most of the hopeful, wall sitting, folks who wanted to
find out if the Orion could be trusted to satisfy the average ham.

The review well states, that you just have to get your Orion Drivers
license, and you will do fine, (ie read the manual carefully). Most
instruments of quality in science are the same way, especially the spectrum
analyzers which are just glorified receivers. I completely understand the
reviewer's points that on the crowded narrow German bands, the truly
selective receiver is the one to pull out the DX.
