Last year, I built up such a beast with a single inductor, based upon a Zack Lau project in the 1990 ARRL Handbook. Not a true balanced design, but the current balun on the 50 ohm side helps smooth things out.

It works OK, but nowhere near as well as my dual roller inductor
network.

I'm sure performance could be improved by using a pair of the TT inductors driven in tandem.

Recently there was a bit of discussion on balanced tuners, a la AG6K, and
the question came up about the use of Ten-Tec's small stepped inductors. Has
anyone tried this? Any comments?
