Ken, thanks for the link. Here's another link on DSP that you may find
interesting. It contains a 600+ page book on DSP that can be downloaded as
PDF files for free (or purchased in soft covers). I found it a very
understandable introduction to DSP techniques. In the early chapters, every
attempt is made to stay away from complex mathematics.

P.S. I just noticed that author is also named 'Smith' - no relation I think.
