You may want to consider getting wifi card for the pc and a wifi router.  Then
you shouldn't have problems with the ethernet lines.I use a large #31 fair-rite
snap on ferrite with 3 turns on my USB connection to my ftdx3000 in addition to
the tiny ferrite that the cable came with.Chuck K9LC

rfi@contesting.comI have realised that I have eventually had to purchase an
ethernet card forevery shack computer because the on board interface has died.
I have movedinto an apartment (and am regretting it for several reasons) and
with theantenna now being much closer to the station and all the computer
equipmentthis has happened quite soon on the newest shack PC. My son, who
nevercaught the ham radio virus, is in charge of the computer systems for a
fairsize corporation says this is not something that he has seen any
problemswith in any of there thousands of PCs. Most of the stuff I see online
isabout the networking (and other things) causing RFI to the receiver. What Iam
looking for is keeping my RF from interfering with operation of networkand USB
connections as well as actual damage to these devices. Does anybodyhave any
experience with this?_______________________________________________RFI mailing
