The 660 has one advantage over a lot of other radios and that's the
ability to run on the aircraft 135? Mhz band. If your RFI involves
power lines, then being able to go up to VHF does a lot in helping your
localization efforts.

I like that the PL-660 has a large bar graph type signal strength meter. That
makes it easy to observe the null while rotating the loop.

I use a Tecsun PL-880 for DF’ing QRN. It has good sensitivity, selectivity and
directionality.
I also have an outboard tunable loop stick antenna inductively coupled to it.
It improves an already good receiver.
