I've have used shielded cat 5 with very good results.  The pre-made cables
with shielded/ground connectors.

See my advice on killing RX noise. k9yc.com/publish.htm  It starts with
replacing all SMPS with linear. How much current do you need? Does it
need to be regulated? What frequencies are you concerned with? Certainly
choke both ends of every ethernet cable, and every cable connected to
that system, including AC cables. I've found moderately priced
un-regulated linear supplies at one of the major electronics
distributors. Don't recall which one.
