To all RTTY ops:
Don’t forget to participate in this week's half hour NS RTTY (NCCC Sprint
contest, RTTY mode) this Thursday evening localtime (Friday 0145Z). It’s a
halfhour of action packed RTTY fun.
Last week's version of this contest featured a shootout between two top ops:
W0YK operating remotely from K6MTU, and WD6T operating from N6RO. Each had 16
mults. The lead kept seesawing throughout the 30 minutes. When all was said
and done, W0YK had 50 contacts, and WD6T had 49! It doesn't get any closer
than that! 50 contacts in a half hour, folks -- that a rate of 100/hour! How
many RTTY contests do you know of where the rate is 100/hour? It helped that
both of these ops were using the new 2BSIQ technique, something that only a few
have been able to master.
Everyone else who operated last week also had a ton of fun. Just ask someone
who has ever been in this weekly contest, and they will agree.
For those of you usingthe N1MM+ logger, the contest module to use is
NSRTTYDUPE. If you need a good set of function keys, letme know and I’ll be
happy to share mine with you. Remember to try 15meters at the beginning of this
Thursday night's contest -- it's been open at0145Z!

Friday, 29 April 2022, 0145Zto 0215Z (Thursday, 28 April 2022 in North America)
-- 1845 to 1915 PDT
-- 2145 to 2215 EDT
-- (others in-between those two time intervals)
-- 160 meters: Try 1804, 1805, or1806 during the last two minutes
-- 80/40/20/15 meters: +83 to +89 kHz up from the lower band edge
-- Same band dupes are allowed for credit after one intervening QSO
-- 1 kHz QSY rule, otherwise standard NCJ Sprint QSY rules
-- Multipliers are counted anew on each band, so if 4 bands are open, you’llget
a lot of mults!
-- 100W output power limit
