Hello Doug.

Can you disclose the call?
Many of us worked UZ2M. I know the owner and most of the operators of that station as honest and skilled men. Please tell us at least that it's not that call you've suspected of cheating.

Thank you.

It was logged as zone 16. I presume that was what he sent. It sure wasn't a
state or province. Like I said, it sure is suspicious considering
conditions, the strength of his signal, and the time of day.

What multiplier/zone did he send, Doug? That would clinch it in terms of
being a European call sign rather than a busted NA call. I've heard
allegations of monkey business in that region of certain stations using
out-of-region remotes and SDRs, but I don't know if they have ever been
substantiated.

A UZ2 station called me on the second evening here. He was loud. I had to
get him to repeat his call because I first believed a NA operator was
mis-sending. EU stations were never heard here during this contest. Makes
me
very suspicious that this UZ2 station was using a NA remote.
