What's the rule for spotting if you are Unassisted?

Be careful about using the Automatically Spot New S&P QSOs feature.  It's not
unusual for me to make a mistake, mistype the call or just be deaf.  I always
double check the call I've S&Ped, sometimes after I've worked them.  When I'm
sure, I'll spot them manually.

We have all gotten a little spoiled on CW with the RBN, whose 170+ nodes
spot everything.  Just a reminder, then - Fort Meade has not yet
released an SSB Skimmer, and until they do (write your Congressperson
and ask!) those of us operating Assisted will need human help.

If you run N1MM Logger, you can turn on
on the Config menu in the Entry Window, and your machine will
automatically spot all the QSOs you log which do not duplicate a spot
(from anyone) within the last 10 minutes.  Just remember that this
option is not "sticky", so you need to select it again each time you
restart N1MM Logger.

I'm sure the other popular loggers have something similar.  Please use it!
