"The Classic Overlay Category was reduced from 36 hours to 24 hours, after the
inaugural run in 2020, to make it consistent with the Classic Category duration in CQ WW.
I believe this is sound as many participants are physically unable or unwilling to
operate for longer periods."

So it's being implied that the Classic Overlay Category is a category for "those
participants are physically unable or unwilling to operate for longer periods." So
basically a category for someone who wants to just play around in the contest? For
someone who desires to operate full time unassisted Single-Op there isn't an option for
doing a full blown 36 hour effort and turn in a competitive score. Your only choice to to
compete with those who use spotting networks.

So to be fair why don't you make a category for those who want to operate as
assisted and are physically unable or unwilling to operate for longer periods ?
It's being implied that ONLY anyone who operates SOU isn't capable of doing 36
hours? Are only unassisted operators not capable or physically unable or
unwilling to operate for longer periods?

And why does CQ WPX have to be consistent with categories in CQWW ? Again none
of this is logical.

Jeff
