Precisely, give it some time. I'm not 'hooked' on FT-X contesting, but it can only improve with time. Whether the improvements will be enough to make it sustainable in the long run is what remains to be seen.

A couple of changes, based on my very brief FT-X contesting experience, would be to stick with only one FT 'flavour'. FT4 was 'designed' with contesting in mind, pehaps it should be the only FT-X 'flavour' allowed. Also, a separate segment for FT-X contesting would help. The 'confusion' was too much at times.

As for all the other FT-X 'non-user expert' criticism, a contest is a contest. The goal is the same. Personal sub-interests are just that, personal.
