I now realize it's crucial to lower your packet spot timeout value of
your logging program if you allow skimmer spots. You just can't
operate with a timeout value on the order of 30 minutes. As confirmed
by N4ZR, the skimmer servers are using a timeout of 10 minutes. They
will re-spot stations after 10 minutes. Looking at the RBN data, this
appears to be the case. So if you allow skimmer spots, you should use
a spot timeout value on the order of 10-12 minutes. That will
minimize the accumulation of bad spots on your bandmap.
