Hi Joe:

It depends on brand, I just went through a similar search, couldn't find a
list per say but if you will go to a couple of these links and search
starting around 1988 -1990 manufacture year the big three seemed to have
started around that time with add on modules, not a few years later it was
automatically a part of the design.

I am sorry to say RLDRAKE never caught up to the pack on this until it came
out with its series 8 radios and they are rx only.

out there so it was helpful for finding literally all the model numbers:

I made a modified excel sheet from the table in this one and am trying to
figure out how to categorize it according to date only.
