re the people calling cq in the DX window: I entered into my
CT note file all the USA calls I heard calling CQ in the window,
with the time & exact frequency. It will be going to the ARRL
with my contest entry. The window is narrow enough as it is,
there were lots of DX stations on & I think it's time the ARRL
enforce that rule by disqualifying some people if they are
going to bother to even have the rule. I'd suggest that other
people entering the contest submit lists as well & perhaps there
will be something done.

It was too much to expect good wx again this weekend. Wind and
rain made the setup on Friday unpleasant. Our 20m rotator didnt
work, so we had to go and borrow one and while mounting the 20m
beam, it fell (due to wind) and it took frantic repairs to get
it back in the air again! but we got everything running for
the start (well almost!)
Low band conditions seemed to be excellent this time around. We
do not have a very big signal on low bands, but managed to work
103 countries on 40m which is our best ever. 160m was also very
good.
10m never really opened, we had a new tower for the 10m beam, and
it yielded only 14 Qso's. 20m was good, but closed very early
and it didnt yield as many mults as the SSB weekend.
As always, we would appreciate any signal reports/comments from anyone
who was listening to us during the contest.

450 QSOs (984 pts) 59 SEC 12 DX = 69,864 points
Op time = 4 hours
Started contest at 0054Z. First west coast was W6GO at 0101Z. Also during
the 0101Z minute were G3XTT and DJ1MI (QSO #s 10-12)
Spent all but about 10 minutes CQing. I like playing this contest for
rate... According to RATE.EXE, best 1 minute was a 300/hr, best 10 mins
was a 150/hour, and best hour was 133.
At one point started a CQ at 1831.5. Someone quickly reminded me this was
DX window and I moved. Not sure why ARRL picked 1830-35 instead of the
more usual 1825-30.
FT-1000/Alpha 78 to Inv vee @ 75 ft. 600 ft Beverage at EU for receive
(put up on Friday as it was getting dark!)
