Comments:
I got my 80m OCF dipole back up in the trees just in time for the ARRL 10m
contest. I started off in the CW only category and switch over to the Mixed
category because there were more Qs to make and I could compete with my fellow
Swamp Fox Frank, KG4IGC. I stayed within a few mults of Frank for most of Sunday
until pulled away and then the band folded and I closed down around 5 pm or so.
I was very pleased with an amazing opening to EU on both mornings. I managed to
pick up some 'mid hop' stations in the northeast and midwest later on Sunday
afternoon. I worked many DX ops, but cool ones included OX7XC (very cool), V55Y,
VY1CO and ZD7BG. Congrats Frank! See y'all next year. 73 Dave WN4AFP
