Comments:
I have two different WIFI systems. Before the contest all was working. Then
just before I started to operated I changed over to another network. Now no DX
cluster announcements. I switched from DXlog to Win Test. Same problem. By some
miracle a few hours later I changed back to the origial WIFI network and all
was good. Big waste of time. But, now I well always remember this.
Later the K4D would only transmitt on VFO B but the automatic band changing
amplifier would only register VFO A. I dragged out the TS-990S and the
amplifier worked as it should . The difference in receive from between the two
is noticable. The K4D rejected very loud nearby signals much better then the
TS0990S. I never ran in this contest and many times called stations and they
just continued to CQ. I had big expections that propagation would be excellent.
It was not. That's life on the radio.
