Comments:
Only for the love of Top Band did I hang in for this one. Desperate condx the
first night with K at 6. Almost a total blackout in the 0400Z hour when only a
few signals were present in the S3 noise. Almost everybody was ESP except the
western states. Did not work anything east beyond the midwest until 0648 when
Willy WJ9B NFL heard me. Slowly got better from there. But missed many usually
easy eastern mults.
Did manage to get Qs with 7 JAs at grayline Saturday AM, all with decent
signals, plus KH6 and KL7. Spotted but could not hear 5W1SA or 4W8X. Only DX Qd
were PJ2T and FY5KE. No DX heard Sunday AM. Of my 6 rx antennas, only the low
beverages and the 160 FW sky loop could hear anything weak.
Rig: IC-7610 SPE Amp SkyHooks: 13 ele HB Triband yagi, 2 ele HB 40m yagi,
30m vertical half wave wire, 5 ele HB 6m yagi, 2 tower DA shunt fed 80m &
160m.
