Comments:

Managed three stints on the air for 206 minutes overall. No DX (EU/JA/etc). Lots
of signals at the noise level, as usual. My SAL-30 located 100 yards away down
by a creek away from the house helped. Ran 1200W to help the K3. The usual
combination of tuning from low to high in the band interspersed with CQing on a
(hopefully) clear freq was the usual. Always fun to get on 160. Tried to say a
little "hi" to peeps who called. Starting to forget names, but the
data base helped. All in all, it was good to get on and felt like the antenna
was working well. My setup on 160 is a 90 ft shunt-fed tower with a tri-band
Yagi on it, with approximately ten radials on a poor limestone hilltop. The
SAL-30 RX antenna is 300 feet away down a sharp hillside of a hundred feet drop
in elevation by a creek. No changes. Good to get on. Love the 160 meter events.
