Tough going at times, partly due to solar weather but also QRN and
distance from the major population areas. Running K3s, Expert 1.3k amps, VDA
verticals for 10-20m, verticals on 40-160m. The 10m vertical was in the sea
and the others within 0.5 wavelength.
The Seychelles authorities will not issue S7 callsigns to visitors, only
S7/home-call callsigns, so we were grateful to the Seychelles Amateur Radio
Association for allowing us to use their contest callsign (S77HQ), however it
met with all sorts of confusion from some ops.
