Comments:
A small group of people gathered again to participate in the #1 contest season
event.
We usually start the contest on the 40m and this time there was no exception.
Since we are in the way up in the solar cycle expectations of a good opening on
10 and 15m were high.
And we were not wrong about it because 10m opened up with the cracking signals
towards JA. Nothing changed in the afternoon time towards the NA. Therefore, we
spent most of the time hanging around this band.
Conditions deteriorated in the evening with the high A index and aurora
sounding signals difficult to decode most of the time. Luckily, elevated
geomagnetic activity didn't ruin the contest for us like it happened before on
multiple occasions.
For some reason (beyond our understanding) we stopped posting the score to
Livescore for about two hours but the program started to post (miraculously)
again without our intervention.
For the first time we used Logger+ unique feature, Spectrum display which turned
out to be a massive help in swift s/p.
There were no technical issues and the entire contest from that aspect was
smooth sailing.
Spending a lot of time and hard work in developing the station paid off big time
and feels good to be (again) within the top EU scorers in this demanding
category.
Congrats to the 9A1P team for putting on the great effort and breathtaking race
on the Livescore.
