Comments:
Glad to see 10M opening up a bit to the west coast this year. Expectations were
high at this QTH as the first QSO in the log was with LN8W. However, this
proved to be the only European worked on day 1. To compensate however, there
were excellent openings to JA and to the far east on both days. Day 2 opened
earlier in the morning and I was able to catch some Europeans with good ears
with the beam to the southeast. Openings to Europe in both the SSB and CW
contests happened only for a short period of time with corresponding daylight,
but the band never opened SP.
Nice to be operating from the new station here on Vancouver Island.
