My first real QRP contest effort, although not "full-time" as I still
had some work to do at the lake house. What a slog this was. Bands were much
quieter than at home in suburbia, but the challenge of QRP (with just a 40M
dipole hung off the 2nd story) is that, unlike working my 100W "Little
Pistol" station at home, just because I can hear THEM doesn't mean that
they can hear ME. I mostly called the big guns with strong signals, but still
ended up talking to myself most of the time. Thanks to those who put forth the
extra effort to pull out my signal! Glad to put Maine in some people's
logs...Thanks for all the Qs!
