Another fine CW Sweepstakes island style. My homemade CW SS practice CW files
did the job and for the first time I was comfortable with the exchange. Ops
seemed better than ever this year and it was a pleasure to work you all.
Overall, a fun weekend. 73 and see you next CW SS.
Propagation
Conditions did not cooperate for my goal of beating last year's HP score but it
was a good contest anyway. 10 meters was in fine form on Saturday and if not for
my S-7 noise level would have produced more Qs. Saturday conditions were fair
with CMEs expected on Sunday. The prediction did not disappoint with the A-index
hitting solid 57. That killed 10 meters, leaving 15 and 20 as usable. After
putting in a solid effort on Saturday I must admit I took it a little too easy
on Sunday.
