Comments:

Murphy visited PJ4K on Friday afternoon at 22Z. We were minimally handicapped
until Murphy was located and excised at 04Z, and the remainder of the contest
had no failures.

Doug K1DG and Gary VA7RR returned after a long hiatus. Gary participated in the
1988 CQ SSB from PJ1B and Doug was here last for the 1999 CQ SSB, the next to
last operation in the previous era. It was fun to have them back. Dave KM3T
made his first visit to the PJ1B/PJ4K site this year. Their contributions were
very significant and we hope to see them back in the future. Thanks, guys!

The balance of the team was Rich N6KT, Marty W1MD, Charlie K1XX, Scott W4PA, and
Dave N3RD.

80 and 160 were disappointing (thanks, El Sol), but the runs on the higher bands
were lots of fun. A new slate of in-band receiving antennas played very well,
allowing seamless interleaving of QSOs. Great stuff.

The reduced number of exotic multipliers in Africa and the Pacific was
noticeable, and certainly affected the bottom line score.

Many thanks to the 87 ops who worked us on six bands:
