Comments:
Even though condx worsened on Sunday after an apparent CME event, I had a lot of
fun this weekend in the test, which had huge participation. Conditions on
Saturday were great overall, and I was able to do plenty of running with good
rates. At first, I operated semi-seriously and completely blew off Saturday
evening, falling asleep on the couch. I wound up with less than 24 hours
operating time for the entire weekend, so I accidentally qualified for Classic
Overlay.
Unassisted Low Power is a challenge, especially when those weak, rare ones you
stumble upon can't hear you, but through luck and some obstinacy I was fortunate
enough that some good multipliers heard my 99 watts. Thanks to my K4D for
working with MMTTY (which enables operation with N1MM+), and to all for the many
contacts. I'm looking forward to CQWW SSB & CW!
