K3/100 and Dipoles
The family was out of town this weekend and I was home alone. I had to stick
around for neighborhood HOA meeting on Sunday. I got the radio working on AFSK
so I could just play around in the contest between watching football on TV. I'm
not really a big digital contest person. I was mostly just doing a causal
S&P handing out contacts. I tried CQing a few times and I was surprised to
get some runs going to EU on 20/15/10 meters with such simple antennas and just
running 100 watts. I let the amp rest for this one. Hopefully we'll have good
conditions like this contest for CQWW SSB in a month.
