Comments:
Was out of town for the entire ARRL Sept VHF Contest with XYL and son. For fun,
I decided to try a casual effort, 100% remote control from my phone (using
RealVNC screen sharing software, FT8 only). Whenever it was
"acceptable" for me to be playing with my phone over the weekend, I
did my best to work as many stations as I could. Only have 6m and 2m here (no
70cm).
Ironically, this appears to be a new Wisconsin section record, in the 3-Band
category. We'll see how THAT holds up. With these great conditions, I suspect
many records will fall and my effort will easily be beaten.
