I'm on a 30 foot sailboat with my wife, son and his gf, and an instructor so we
can all get our certification for sailing, and tonight is the last night. We
anchored in an inlet about two hours east of Toronto. I brought a 5 watt 20m
QCX mini transceiver and AX1 antenna (4 foot whip). At the appointed time I
stood in the cockpit facing the stern with my little radio on the top of the BBQ
and tried to win jump balls. Finally John K0TG heard me -- thank you John --
and I made a Q in NS. There were lots of strong signals from CA, plus WD0T,
