Comments:

This was a contest within a contest for the Burton Bandits! We tracked Qs and
mults for each family member (except me) and manually tallied the results at the
end -

Ella (age 19) - 89*28 = 2,492
Genna (XYL) - 82*29 = 2,378
Reid (age 21) - 39*23 = 897
Hazel (age 6) - 4*4 = 16

Mults counted once per person. 214 collective Qs made by these 4 operators. Ella
operated late shift and slightly edged out her mom. Genna takes top spot for
overall BIC time, and certainly for coordinating the logistics of the event so
that everyone had fun. Reid gets honorable mention for making 39 Qs after
working outside in the heat all day. The XYL and Hazel made their first ever
contacts in this contest.

Our overall strategy was to use the YL voices for S&P/mults and for me to
run occasionally to build up Qs. Those YL voices really do slice through pileups
like a hot knife through butter. Holy cow. Got through most (and some were big)
on the first call. Got a lot of requests for repeats on the name, but that was
to be expected. Operated at the start and called it a night around 0145 EDT.

Got the GA mult on 15/20m via groundwave with my friend AA5JF across the
Savannah River. Worked K3DNE, N4XL, N4IQ, K4FT, KZ3P, and WN4AFP many times from
the SFCG teams, as well as many CW friends. Lots of fun to put voices with
callsigns. I love the NAQP; it's my favorite contest of the year.

Everyone had a blast! Hope you did too! Thanks for the Qs and see you next time.
