Wasted time at the last minute to put up a temporary dipole for 10m/15m. 20m
was not a lot of fun and found a new local QRN source had shown up on the bottom
of the 20m ssb band. 80m was also noisy, S9 noise level that gradually declined
to about S6 by midnight. Never got much going on 80m runs. 160m had LESS noise
than 80m locally, but 160m ssb is a challenge. Which is to say that 160m
produced almost as well as 20m. Hmmmmmm. ???
Which leaves 40m. Kept getting sucked back into 40m again and again. Had a
couple of very productive 40m runs, and always found good 40m run frequencies.
Not normal fer "Andy". Hell hath frozen over perhaps? Fully 64.4% of
the Q's on 40m. Too close for the numerologists....
