Summertime propagation conditions here in the tropics meant both 10m and 80m
were almost dead and 40m was not much better. High SWR on 20m meant I had to
operate at half power on that band. Score a little down on both 2022 and 2021 as
a result. Good to see a few more USA islands activated this year, but there's
still a disappointing lack of activity from Caribbean islands. DX conditions
fairly poor, unusually working Indonesia was very difficult and I did not hear a
single JA in the contest. Rig: Icom IC-7300, amp: Acom 1500 at 1kW on
10-15-40-80, 500W on 20m. Hexbeam at 14m, quarter-wave verticals for 40 and 80m.
