Comments:

Not a bit of skip heard. Just CW&SSB, so things were pretty slow. When I
needed some excitement I went outside to watch paint dry.

I did finally get the K3 going full bore on 2 meters. I had picked up an 2M
module for the K3 a couple of years ago, but it only puts out about four watts.
Sunday morning K8RYU asked me to move to 2, and amazingly he heard me. I then
during the day hooked up the KLM brick I picked up this spring, which got me up
to 40 watts. Meanwhile with the extra coax I noticed my monitor was raising the
noise floor at 144.200 by 6 db or so. A single turn of the coax on a ferrite
choke close to the radio took care of that.

I worked a couple of pretty loud VE3s on 2M close to the end, but there just
isn't volume for us analog only guys.
