Comments:
I was mostly chasing the HQ's and wanted to work as many unique I4's as
possible. The goal was 200-300 S&P QSO's but in the end I finished with 530.
20/15m were FB. I only made 2 QSO's on 40m. Had to QRT at 6pm to go to a family
gathering and when I came back around 10:30pm and found 20m in great shape.
Decided to find clear freq and run which for more than 2 hours produced some
excellent pileups (3-4 Qso's per minute). Worked all across EU, Russia, Ukraine
etc. It was about 2:00am local when I went QRT but 20m was still going strong.
My buddies at Z30HQ were booming late into the night. Now I wish I spent a
little more time in IARU but after the poor start on Saturday morning I did not
imagine the bands will open this good. It was a good warm up for the upcoming
contest season.
Worked 55 unique I4* WRTC call signs.
