Home on call this weekend, so made the best of it! Pulled out the POTA batteries
for a 1E effort for a few hours. I found that my 45ah battery carried me at 100
watts, CW and SSB at 100 watts for 10 hours, not hard, but pretty steady
activity. My 12ah lasted Sunday morning about 2 hours of light 100w use. Bands
were not great, but lots of activity, especially in the 1D department.
The D class needs revisiting. Way over half of my Qs were with D stations. I
feel like allowing D stations to work other D stations is watering down field
day a bit much. Crank up a generator, pull out a battery, or go to a field day
site!
