Comments:
Contest started out slow on Saturday afternoon and I had to talk myself into
staying seated and putting in the seat time. Then around 7:00pm MST the band
started to pickup. I've never experienced anything like what happened over the
next 4 hours. At 8:15 I was decoding 341 stations on FT8 and I had 31+ stations
calling me. There was so much activity it was a challenge that I've never
tackled before. Sunday was similar started slow in the morning then things took
off in the afternoon. This was an exceptional showing for me, I run 80 watts
into an Off Center Fed dipole in an inverted V with the center at about 30 feet,
so no gain no directionality. What fun.
