TS-590S @5W to C4 @ 35' / TS-2000 @5W to OCFD @ 30'
This overlay had no entries last year, and I had been wanting to try SO2R, so
this seemed like a good opportunity.
Decided to save most of the operating until late in the contest for the
"fresh meat" factor. In retrospect this wasn't such a good idea. It's
June, we have sunspots, my score would be higher had I just operated during
darkness when the long-haul paths are best.
Had to take a 20 minute break to let a thunderstorm play through. While the
unusual off-time rules in this contest make for interesting strategy, they are
unforgiving of unplanned events like this.
Anyway, had fun and my simple 2R setup worked well. 73 -- Ray WQ5L
