Comments:
Not too bad score from a lousy wire dipole on a city QTH. My result is down 20%
compared to last year, but the stellar opening of the 15M band could be an
excuse. I think, most of the single band guys went on 15 instead of 40M. I made
a 16-minute recording of 15M on Saturday morning, after 40 dried up around
1300Z. There were many very loud DX stations: JAs, BY, JT, VR2, A71, E2, H25,
tons of EUs. I never heard anything like this AS opening before. As a hindsight
it could have been even more fun to be in the SB15 category instead of the
SB40.
Somehow, I worked 26 hours in 2022, but only 24 hrs this year. I think the noise
level was higher on 40 this year than in 2022. My apology for not reading the
weak stations in the noise. It is complicated to have a Beverage in the city
(but not impossible :-)
This contest is a lot of fun.
