Comments:
Lots of projects to do around the house this weekend, but managed to squeeze in
some operating time. Like many experienced, conditions weren't the best. 15m
finally started to open around mid-morning, but it was spotty, and all of the
action was mostly limited to CW. Still, it was nice to have another band open
besides 20m during the daylight hours.
The afternoon QRN on 20m was pretty brutal, as was 40m and 80m in the evening. I
was greeted with roaring S9+ static levels on 40m SSB complete with nasty static
crashes. If that wasn't bad enough, wild QSB made it super tough to get a full
call on weaker stations. Sorry for those I couldn't pull out (really need to fix
my beverage that was taken out by a fallen tree earlier this year).
