Comments:
A last minute addition to the contest calendar this year, and my first serious
7QP.
What a great time! Too bad the bands were terrible. Let's hope 15m is better
in WPX CW.
Spent all day Friday working on various radio related projects. Managed to get
a huge list of fixes and upgrades done that have been on the list all season.
Only found 2 new issues which has to be a record.
Some really intense storms came right over the shack on Friday afternoon.
Watching lightning strike on property is never a comforting feeling. Everything
came through OK at least. The storms on Saturday were all around and close, but
never directly over head at least. But WOW were the low bands noisy. Holy cow.
Hoping that is not the case in WPX CW also.
It was really fun working the mobiles roving around. Missed NL, NT, NU, PE, SK,
YT. Only one ND.
Thanks to the organizers for a super fun event, and thanks to everyone else that
got on to work W7's. Having the NEQP, INQP, DEQP, etc on the same weekend seems
like a great combination to keep the bands alive. I was also really surprised
at all of the new hams on the 20m SSB bottom less pit. There may be hope for us
as a sustainable hobby after all. Now if we could just break everyone of saying
"Please Copy."
