Comments:
Wanted to run mobile, but just could not pull the mobile unit together. So I
got an RV spot in the Ochlockonee River State Park, Sopchoppy, Wakulla County,
FL.
The WX was very inhibiting on Saturday with NO qsos, so on Sunday, I got my EFHW
antenna installed and the FT-891, Dell Laptop and MiniWK interface setup in the
RV and was ready to go. The antenna worked fine but I will say I more troubles
with all sort of other stuff. But hung in there and managed to work a few
stations right along.
Not a great score but better than the last two years, when I had no score at
all.
Actually I rather enjoyed this method of operating in the FQP, when I got tired,
I just went outside and sat on my folding chair and watch those pretty little
"White" squirrels at the park--first time I had seen them.
I might try it again next year.
