The first 7 hours were bliss with over 800 QSOs in the log. At one point on 20m,
the rate meter hit 222 QSOs/hour measured over 27 minutes. Then I went to 40m
for the first time. The last three hours were torture. I probably hit the band
too late. Still, I'm happy with the 52 mults I found, despite missing NH and
others. I have a high local noise level, so running was just about impossible
for me.
10m wasn't as productive as last weekend. I also found that that attic dipole
was comparable to or louder than the vertical on at least half of the stations I
worked on 20m, which was not the case last weekend. My last QSO on 20m was AL2F
at 0248z.
I missed both MS and RI on 20m, though several ND stations called in. I saw MS
spotted but I didn't want to break my run. I read on the YCCC reflector that
NG1M in RI did not spend much time on 20m due to his own local noise problems on
that band.
