Comments:
I usually don't bother to turn on the amplifier, but today is my last CWT from
Ohio before heading back to Florida where I don't have an amplifier to turn on.
I could certainly tell the difference in rate! I had 110 QSOs at the 35 minute
mark. However, perhaps due to the cold weather and rain/snow, I had an
intermittent noise source that raised the 40 meter noise floor 15-20 db, which
certainly made copying the weaker guys tough. So I went up the bands, including
making it a point to get to ten meters to have QSOs on five bands.
