                    222 MHz Fall Sprint - 2022

Call: KV1J
Operator(s): KV1J
Station: KV1J

Class: Single Op LP
QTH: EMA - FN42
Operating Time (hrs): 1

Summary:
Total: QSOs = 4 Mults = 2 Total Score = 8

Club: North East Weak Signal Group

Comments:

Usually in Maine for this one but needed to be in Mass. So just a LogPeriodic
on the roof at my low elevation QTH. Should be back in Maine next week for
432.
Even though just a few Qs with my 7 watts this was a big success. The
transverter here is homemade with parts of two W1GHZ boards. Seems to hear well
on the bench but when I try to get on the air on Tuesday nights I do not hear
very well. So this time I had a chance to investigate further. Turns out that
once it is in the station it is going through an external amplifier. Found a
problem with the amp that was attenuating the RX signals so the transverter was
not so bad after all. Was on with just the 7 watts from the transverter brick
module.
73, Eric KV1J
