Comments:

Internet (thanks Comcast!) went out about 2PM on Saturday and did not come back
until 6:38pm... Shut down our SSB ops altogether (from my station operating
location). Right at prime time on 20/ 15! Comcast has gone out 2 more times
for several hours at the time of this writing, otherwise I would have posted
this yesterday.

Eric tried to carry on with CW from his house to the FMH Club remote (Skynet
link). KJ0D Eric = BEAST MODE... 160/ hr rate... he put us on the map. We ran
mostly 33wpm ... I slowed down for a while and added a 73 to the msg... so may
have slowed us a little. But we were not trying to set any records anyway.
Back to 35 at the end! That was yours truly! KJ5Y

We got a cell phone to serve the logger but very slow.. Billy managed a handful
of SSB contacts. From 3+ per minute to about 1 per 30 min.

Anyway, we probably would have made double the contacts if our link was up.
We used CW exclusively in Brazoria Station. And SSB in Wharton from the big
club station (GXP17-4 up 188'). The K3's worked great! And we had some fun!
K5GN was right next to me (I was running 14030) but it worked great because they
would work both of us. I called him at the end but I guess he could not hear me
LOL... I started to log you anyway Dave!

If you worked us on CW it was GXP7-7 BZIA/ SSB it was the BIG antenna at WHAR.

Great time was had by all. Glen's first contest and he did a fantastic job!
Got the hang of it quickly... many stations calling him! Ben and Bill had a
great time too... the big antenna (in Boling at Glen's place) is fantastic!
73 and thanks for working us! Pat KJ5Y with Glen W5GMD, Eric KJ0D, Ben K5AW,
Billy W5HWZ
