Comments:

160M QSO's not on form: 7 CW 1 SSB and 1 SSB mult.

I was waiting for a few days to see the K7SV post, then got too busy to post,
still waiting. He was definitely present. This was a fun QP, could always use
more activity, but it was nice to see K8O, and Jim,K8MR mobiles on full time or

nearly so, thanks much. Thanks also to K8RYU/R for those rare SE OH counties.
K8MFO/M was the opposite of his home station, pretty weak; thanks for 3 Q's and
mults.

Based on how loud TN stations were on 40M mid day yesterday, I would have to say
that 40M signals were quite weaker than normal for about 3 hours starting 17Z. I
think some mobiles went into the noise here then. I had a decent first hour
with
58 QSO's including some SSB runs, then my rate did not climb out of the teens
until 23Z with upper 20's then and 01 and 02Z. I quit at 0250Z missing K8MR/M in
several counties late. Things were getting very slow, and I was getting
tired.

I was pleased with my mult total, but it would have been better with better
afternoon condx and more operating time the last hour. There is definitely less
activity on 80/75M than in past years in all QP's. 40M was closing around 0230Z
to OH with some drop out to eastern OH around sunset. Operating below 3800 would
help avoid all of the rag chewing pig farmers who "own" their
frequencies, but there were still a few spots open. Thanks for the calls and
QSO's and thanks to MRRC for running the QP.

73, Jeff
