This is my first time participating in the CW Open. I really enjoyed it!
Accomplished several objectives:
-Tested my repaired K3 on the air for the first time since it was repaired. I
wanted to make sure the 100W PA problem was fixed, so I called CQ more than I
ordinarily would have with this setup to stress the transmitter.
-Tested my newly built C3S by JK Antennas. I finished assembling it a few hours
before the CW Open and temporarily installed it in my backyard on a tripod mast
that I borrowed from W6GJB.
-Got some much needed CW practice.
I was surprised to make 100 QSOs in the first session with the antenna at such a
low height.
